Aiming to maintain the momentum it has built over the last year or so for its IPTV business, UK ISP TalkTalk has teamed with the country's leading commercial broadcaster ITV to launch tailored content packages.
TalkTalkThe bespoke package, delivered through YouView boxes, offers homes ITV shows on demand such as Birds of a Feather, The Bletchley Circle, Celebrity Juice, Hell's Kitchen USA and seven series of Lewis. The Boost is available for £5 a month on a month-by-month basis and starting immediately customers can get access to Collections from ITV for free for a month.
The new ITV bouquet complements TalkTalk's similar YouView Boost package with NBC Universal to add US box sets to its pay monthly boosts through its exclusive TVBox package. TalkTalk's TV Boosts offer extra channels that can be added a month at a time with no on-going commitment.
"We are really excited to welcome more ITV shows to the TalkTalk Player through our new handpicked package," commented TalkTalk spokesperson Olivia Streatfeild. "Collections from ITV gives customers simple, flexible and affordable access to more dramas, game shows and reality TV. This additional service is part of our commitment to make Britain better off by continuing to build on our award-winning content from all over the globe to ensure homes have a wealth of family entertainment at an affordable price."
Added Neale Dennett, controller of pay and distribution at ITV: "We are delighted to partner with TalkTalk to offer their customers a bespoke package of ITV's quality content on demand. The partnership is a further example of ITV's commitment to deliver our content whenever and wherever audiences want it."
