ITV inks content deals for Netflix France, Germany and Benelux

With content defined as the king to the services success, especially in its new territories, Netflix has beefed up its bouquet for France, Germany and Benelux in a programming deal with ITV Studios Global Entertainment.
itvGEThe arrangement will see the SVOD leader offer a range of ITV popular drama and factual titles such as all five series of the award-winning Irish drama Love/Hate, made by Octagon Films for RTE, in France and Germany on Netflix as the only SVOD service. Netflix has also acquired the SVOD rights to Dancing On The Edge by Ruby Film and Television for BBC2, and also included in the deal are the first two series of Mr Selfridge (ITV Studios for ITV), meaning that Netflix now holds the SVOD rights to the programme across all its European territories.
Netflix has also acquired the first two series of Rectify (Sundance Production) and has picked up the initial two series of the documentary series River Monsters (Icon Films for Discovery).
