Alterna'TV appoints new North American distribution director

Alterna'TV has appointed Roberto Perez as senior director for marketing and distribution in the US, Canada and Mexico.
alternalogoThe announcement was made by Aymeric Genty, Alterna'TV's new CEO, who continues to build his team of media executives with an eye toward increasing and expanding the presence of all of the company's channel partners worldwide, with a special emphasis on the North and South American markets.
Having worked for DirecTV, Comcast and Cox Communications, Perez brings nearly a decade of marketing and distribution experience to his new role with Alterna'TV. As senior director, Perez will be responsible for increasing carriage and enhancing market penetration for the suite of channels and networks represented by Alterna'TV in the region.
"Roberto is a strong addition to the Alterna'TV team and is going to be a tremendous asset in growing our channel partners' services in the US, Canada and Mexico," said Genty. "His in-house experience with two of the country's largest cable services will certainly be of benefit in positioning our channel offerings and in escalating the performance of the channels once we secure carriage for them."
Among other tasks, Perez has focused on developing and executing Comcast's Hispanic marketing strategy across three divisions and in 16 regions nationwide and he developed bundling strategies and driving video-on-demand (VOD) penetration for Cox Communications.
Alterna'TV is a Miami-based subsidiary of Eutelsat Americas, which delivers Hispanic-focused programming with a roster of channels including Once TV Mexico, Latin American Sports, AYM Sports, Trace Sports Stars, CB Tu Television Michoacan, Canal 22 Internacional, Ecuavisa, INTI Network, PXTV and Telemicro, reaching between them over ten million subscribers on a daily basis.
