Amdocs gains win in Liberty Global Euro quad-play expansion

As it rolls out mobile services to complement its existing cable-based fixed line offerings in Europe, Liberty Global is to deploy Amdocs Compact Convergence for the MVNOs offering services.

liberty globalWith Hungary, Switzerland and Netherlands already live, Liberty Global has launched three national mobile virtual network operators on the existing single, multi-tenant platform that already supports broadband, fixed line and pay-TV offerings. Each MVNO will be able to manage its own mobile service offerings; define product portfolio and tariffs while taking advantage of a common platform to speed delivery.

Amdocs has integrated this MVNO platform with its existing customer experience and business support systems (BSS), interfaced to third-party BSS and customer-facing systems, to provide Liberty Global with a single view of the customer and enable a single bill across all lines of business.

"As Liberty Global looks to introduce its quad-play offerings across Europe, we have chosen a flexible and proven managed solution that provides convergent, real-time charging and service delivery capabilities from an experienced partner," said Liberty chief information officer Dean Walters. "The Amdocs solution supports our goal of bringing quad-play to our markets whilst giving each country operation the ability to create their own go to market approach, within their own brand."
