With the launch of its first three pay-TV channels in Latin America, Canadian music distributor Stingray Digital is adding video to its audio offer, providing pay-TV operators with live concerts, news and videos.

During its upfront held in Miami, the company announced the three new channels – Stingray Concerts International, Concerts Americas and Lite TV – and a new corporate brand under which it brings together its Latin American portfolio.
"The important growth experienced in Latin America by our company has transformed the region into an essential market for our international business and development," said Eric Boyko, CEO and president at Stingray. "The new products we are launching in the Latin American market drive the consolidation of our position as multi-platform music providers worldwide, with over 110 million subs across 113 territories."
Stingray Concerts International will broadcast live music, concerts and interviews, targeting an audience between the ages of 25-49; Concerts Americas offers Latin American content targeting a younger audience; while Lite TV bases its programming on videos.
"Our growing offer of linear, multi-platform channels has transformed Stingray as the only company in Latin America able to offer a huge music portfolio under the same brand," commented Gustavo Tonelli, Latin American manager at Stingray.
Through these moves, Stingray Digital, which bought Mood Media's DMX Media at the beginning of the year, acquiring with it many strategic partners in Latin America and the Caribbean, continues to strengthen its position in the LATAM pay-TV market, signing several distribution agreements in the first half of the year.
