MYTF1VOD fills in the Dotscreen for HbbTV connected TV app

French multiscreen video specialist Dotscreen has scored a big domestic win with MYTF1VOD for the technical development of mobile, connected TV and video game console applications.
dotscreenMYTF1 Dotscreen designs, develops and sells under licence multiscreen applications for smart TV, TV decoders, HbbTV, game consoles, smartphones, tablets and Google Glass. These see use with major media companies such as France Télévisions, Al Jazeera, BeinSports, Eurosport, Deezer, Auféminin, Doctissimo, Lagardère, Mondadori, 20Minutes, Euronews, Radio Télévision Suisse, Numéricâble, Bouygues Télécom, TDF and TF1.
And it is the interactive division of the latter for which it has developed an application for connected TVs as well as the tablet applications for iOS & Android. Dotscreen has now adapted the application compatible with the HbbTV interactive standard. This application is now available on the interactive TV portal Fransat Connect via decoders or connected TVs.
"Currently the most distributed VOD service in France, MYTF1VOD aims to be present on all of the screens of today and tomorrow, and to provide excellent and innovative service," explained Tristan du Laz, assistant managing director of TF1 VIDEO. "To follow our ambitious roadmap, MYTF1VOD has chosen the best partners, such as the company Dotscreen, which seemed to us the company with the greatest expertise, and the best suited to accompany us in this heterogeneous world of mass market terminals and technologies."
More Dotscreen projects are currently in development to accompany future MYTF1VOD services. "MYTF1VOD is a reference in the VOD market in France," added Dotscreen directors Stanislas Leridon and Pascal-Hippolyte Besson in a joint-statement. "We are delighted that the MYTF1VOD teams have selected us to develop their applications on different terminals."
