Targeting the betting market, Satellite Information Services (SIS) is to launch a range of data products from Spanish football league La Liga.

sisThe announcement follows a three-year agreement signed in August through which SIS became La Liga's exclusive partner for data collection and distribution from over 2,500 matches per season across three leagues.

Since the football season kicked off four months ago, SIS data scouts have been collecting live statistics from matches in the Liga BBVA (La Liga), Liga Adelante, Segunda Division B, the Copa del Rey and the Supercopa.

The data company for broadcasters and betting companies is now to provide a range of high quality, pre-match, in-running and post-match data feeds and products tailored to bookmakers' needs, with further developments to come.

Key features of the SIS offering include fixtures for matches from the competitions to be delivered for event creation and display; incident feed delivered from the venue using in-stadium data gathering and providing team line-ups and substitutes pre-match; trader console as a user interface through which traders can view the full incident feed data; and live match summary delivering goals with scorer and time, red and yellow cards, substitutes and penalties.

"We've come a long way in a very short time, which is a tribute to our ability to develop and innovate," said Paul Witten, commercial director at SIS Betting. "Our feed is fast, high quality and most importantly absolutely tailored to the needs of bookmakers, their traders and their customers. La Liga is one of the top three leagues in the world and we're confident SIS' products and services from Spain will become a must-have for betting companies."

La Liga BBVA is one of the most followed sports competitions around the globe, being watched by more than 300 million viewers, mostly drawn to the TV by international stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi, Luis Suárez, Neymar and James Rodríguez.
