Roku scores with Sky Online TV Box

As it begins its eagerly awaited Sky Online over the top service, Sky Deutschland has revealed that online video CE provider Roku will be providing the offering’s STB.
All existing and new subscribers to Sky Online and Snap can order the Roku-powered box to connect to the Internet, either via Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi. The Sky Online TV service offers entertainment from the Sky Online or Snap programming catalogues, featuring Hollywood blockbusters, hit series, live sports, children’s programming and documentaries.
The Sky Online TV Box is based on the existing Roku platform and its portfolio of streaming players. In addition to both Sky streaming services, customers also have access through the Roku Channel Store to channels from a selection including Wall Street Journal Live, Vimeo, TuneIn Radio and special interest channels including FitnessMagazine and iFood.tv – with more to follow soon.
