Leading Polish pay-TV provider TVN has extended its distribution deal with the country’s largest satellite operator Cyfrowy Polsat to distribute its paid and free-to-air channels.
The existing deal covers nine TVN channels — TVN, TVN7, TTV, TVN24, TVN Meteo, TVN Style, TVN Turbo, TVN24 Biznes i Świat and Mango24 — currently distributed in both standard- and high-definition, and the new arrangement will see HDTV versions of TVN24, TVN Turbo and TVN Style added to the bouquet.
By being on the Cyfrowy Polsat satellite platform, the TVN channels will be available to 4.4 million pay-TV services to customers across Poland. At present the company provides access to over 140 Polish language TV channels, including all of Poland's main terrestrial channels as well as sports, films, news, education, general entertainment, music and children's channels. It also provides its customers with multi-room, catch-up, VOD and PPV services.
