CW Network, Media General seal long-term affiliation deals

Leading US multimedia company Media General and Warner Bros/CBS joint venture The CW Network have announced long-term network affiliation agreements in sixteen US markets.

CW NetworkThe agreements include renewals and new affiliation contracts for CW affiliates in markets that Media General owns, operates or services television stations, including Austin, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia as well as New York state, Colorado and Massachusetts.

"The CW has been a longstanding and valued partner for many years and we are pleased to continue building upon our relationship," commented Media General president and chief executive officer Vincent Sadusky. "We are particularly excited about our new agreement for WISH-TV and launching the CW on our digital channels in Springfield, MA and Hattiesburg, MS."

"We're very pleased to continue our successful affiliations with Media General," added Chris Brooks, The CW's senior vice president, network distribution. "They have been a terrific partner, and with this season's new hit series 'The Flash' and the Golden Globe-nominated 'Jane the Virgin', we look forward to even greater success to come."
