Texas's Nexstar Broadcasting Group has inked a distribution agreement with US cable TV provider Charter Communications.
The deal will see Charter Communications subscribers in 15 key markets have uninterrupted access to network content from NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, MyNetworkTV, The CW, and Hispanic station Telemundo as well as local news and other programming produced specifically for the individual communities that it serves.
Nexstar's current portfolio includes affiliates of NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, MyNetworkTV, The CW, Telemundo, Bounce TV, Me-TV and LATV. It also owns, operates, programmes and provides sales and other services to 110 TV stations and related digital multicast signals reaching 58 markets or approximately 18% of US TV households.
Nexstar says that it is "proud" of the fact that no material service interruptions related to distribution agreements have occurred with its station group since 2005.
