Alarab News opts for Imagine Comms' scheduling software

The Arab world's latest satellite news channel Alarab News has selected Imagine Communications to supply it with an integrated media traffic, planning and scheduling system.
downloadAlarab News Channel, which is solely owned by Saudi millionaire Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, is due to launch in February 2015, providing competition for Al Jazeera, Al Arabiya, and Sky News Arabia among others.
"Our goal is to change the way news is broadcast in the Middle East, bringing the news that matters to our viewers in a completely fresh way. Imagine Communications' software will help us meet that goal," said Jamal Khashoggi, editor-in-chief and general manager, Alarab News Channel.
Imagine Communications' advertising management platform will be used by Alarab TV for detailed scheduling of both programme content and commercials, as well as advertising sales.
