The 24/7 HD network from CSI Sports has signed a carriage deal for its FIGHT SPORTS network with leading Scandinavian pay-TV operator, Telia.

CSIThe channel will be launched by Telia in Sweden immediately and by Sonera in Finland later this month. The deal effectively makes Telia Scandinaviaís first dedicated network to support the entire fight genre through exclusive events and original programming.

Teliaís programming line-up includes world title boxing events (WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO), world championship kickboxing, mixed martial arts and multiple martial arts tournaments from around the world. It also includes exclusive reality (Fight Quest) and documentary (Xtreme Martial Arts) series produced by Discovery Networks, the Contender series produced by Mark Burnett, and various speciality series. The channel will be included in the STOR package for both IPTV and Play +. It will also be eligible for customers who have packages of channels MIX8.

The launch continues the recent global expansion of the FIGHT SPORTS network and follows similar deals with operators in other parts of Europe and Asia Pacific, with distribution reaching almost 20 countries.

"We are proud to announce the launch of FIGHT SPORTS on TELIA and look forward to providing the passionate fan base across Scandinavia with some of the best fights supported by our exclusive programing and original series, all in one destination," commented CSI Sports co-CEO Craig Miele.
