Just a few months after it entered the Latin American market through Peru by purchasing Imizu productions, Spain's Grupo Secuoya has announced an agreement with Chilean production house Fábula, with which it will establish a new company targeting TV production: Fábula Televisión.

fabulatvFábula, known for being the only Chilean company producing content for HBO, also produces audiovisual content for cinema and advertising.

"The fact that Fábula recognises the talent and know-how of Secuoya makes me very proud," said Raúl Berdonés, president of Grupo Secuoya. "This agreement is the best example of the bridges we need to build between Europe and Latin America in our sector."

In addition to the joint production of new content, the deal will enable Fábula Televisión to distribute the whole of Secuoya's catalogue in Chile and Latin America.

The Chilean company has been producing content for the last ten years and has established a position in the local market but also throughout Latin America and the US. "The deal is a natural step in our growing process, making Secuoya the perfect partner to strengthen our position in the local market," said Juan de Dios Larraín, one of the company's founders.

After buying 51% of Peru's Imizu Producciones last July and opening an office for the US market in Miami, Secuoya continues to move forward towards its internationalisation with a focus on the Latin audience.
