India's railway passengers will soon be able to watch film, music and premium TV content from media production and distribution giant Eros International, following a tie-up with RailTel.
A wide range of Eros' video content will be available to stream or download at certain railway stations over RailTel's broadband network, using the Eros Now video-on-demand (VOD) platform.
"We are happy to partner with RailTel in this endeavour to provide Wi-Fi facilities to the common man which has increasingly become a necessity," said Rishika Lulla Singh, CEO, Eros Now.
"The association will further amplify the reach of Eros Now in providing the best in entertainment to a wider range of consumers."
RailTel, a public sector body under the Ministry of Railways, has launched high speed Wi-Fi on key stations in India. Passengers will be informed of the availability of the video service upon arrival at participating stations.
