Raising the bar further on the content proposition of its Prime Instant Video service in the UK, Amazon has contracted FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment (FMKFE) to provide a package of over 68 hours of programming.

The deal includes the rights for the subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) offer to screen six series and one animated special from the division's portfolio, and includes pre-school show Kate & Mim Mim, children's series Team Toon, Alien Dawn, Really Me, comedy The Aquabats Supershow!, Monsuno and the animated family feature The BFG - Big Friendly Giant.

"We're always looking for new and exciting ways to make our content accessible on a number of different platforms," remarked FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment VP Distribution and Sales Joss Duffield. "This new Amazon Prime Instant Video deal provides a fantastic opportunity to introduce Amazon Prime's UK viewers to this great line up of titles and for familiar fans to catch up with their favourite shows."
