Univision Communications, Donald Trump's organisation and the NBCUniversal-owned Miss Universe organisation have announced a long-term partnership for the Spanish-language television and digital rights for the beauty contests Miss Universe and Miss USA. Univision will work with the organisation to co-produce the both pageants.

"The Miss Universe and Miss USA pageants consistently rank as the most watched, most-coveted properties and entertainment programs around the world," said Donald Trump. "Adding Univision as one of our leading media partners in addition to NBC could not be more exciting."

"Our new partnership will bring both pageants, among the most watched forms of television entertainment in the world, to Univision, the No 1 media brand for US Hispanics," added Paula Shugart, president of Miss Universe organization. "Our collaboration will bring unmatched entertainment to the most passionate, loyal audience that Univision offers to one of the fastest growing and important demographic communities in the US."

The Miss Universe beauty contest is distributed to approximately 190 countries and territories. "We look forward to working with our partners to extend these iconic brands to Univision's dynamic and engaged audiences across all platforms," commented Alberto Ciurana, president of programming and content at Univision Communications.
