Tricolor to premiere Paramount Pictures blockbusters

Russia's leading digital TV operator Paramount Pictures has extended its licensing agreement to bring roughly 160 Paramount titles to subscribers.
logo tricolor 2 color-01Under the terms of the new deal, the satellite firm will deliver blockbuster films on Russian TV for the first time ever along with classic and fan-favourite titles from the studio's library throughout 2015.
Among the new titles to be made available to subscribers on the KinoPremium HD channel from the SuperKino HD package are Transformers: Age of Extinction on 7 March and the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on 21 March.
Semeynoe HD and Ostrosujetnoe HD will offer subscribers some of the best feature films in cinema history in 2015, such as Forrest Gump, The Usual Suspects, Saving Private Ryan, The Terminal, The Truman Show, The Lovely Bones, Mission: Impossible, Ghost Protocol and many others. Children's titles include animated hits from DreamWorks Animation such as How To Train Your Dragon, Shrek Forever After and Megamind, as well as feature films such as Charlotte's Web, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, Scrooged, and more.
The mobile application Kino.Tricolor introduced by Tricolor TV in 2014 will provide subscribers with additional information about the titles, such as background information, posters and trailers.
"Today we are facing a 15-20% overall content purchase cost reduction in the industry as well as a lesser share of foreign content on Russian TV channels", commented Tricolor TV channel production director Arsen Khomutov. "Despite the market crisis, Tricolor TV intends to maintain the premium level of its movie channels. Paramount Pictures has been creating the best movie content for over a century, and we value working with this company."
