Yahoo Screen preps Community premiere with Honda

Yahoo has announced that Honda has joined as the presenting sponsor of the sixth season of popular TV show Community. The programme is available exclusively on Yahoo Screen.

Honda's sponsorship includes several product placement integrations in season six, and pre-roll video ads in both new episodes and series highlights. It's also signed on for premium display and audience advertising across Yahoo's extended network as part of a one-year, online video upfront programme.

"Community, now on Yahoo Screen, has an incredible and loyal fan following creating the perfect opportunity for us to connect with our audience in a new way across multiple screens," said Tom Peyton, assistant vice president of marketing at American Honda. "Working with Yahoo, we're excited to not only be part of the sixth season of Community, but leverage the maturing world of online video through the distribution of original content."

Community is moving from broadcast TV to an online home for its sixth season. The ensemble comedy centres around a tight-knit group of friends who all met at what is possibly the world's worst educational institution - Greendale Community College. Core cast members will return for the 13-episode series, debuting 17 March, including Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Jim Rash, Ken Jeong, Paget Brewster and Keith David.
