TV application provider Accedo has opened a new office in Guadalajara, Mexico, to support Accedo's Americas business.
The company targets media companies, video-on-demand (VOD) providers, telecom operators and pay-TV service providers in the region. Existing clients across the Americas include iHeartMedia, Warner Bros, Showtime, America Móvil, ESPN, FOX and Telefónica.
"I'm truly excited about the new Mexico office for many reasons," said Michael Lantz, CEO at Accedo http://www.accedo.com. "We see continued growth prospects for the region, and this new office will be a strong collaboration between our regional teams in North and South America."
Accedo is actively recruiting for project managers, solution architects, support engineers, application developers and QA engineers to be based in Guadalajara.
"The TV industry is undergoing rapid change driven by the growth in multiscreen streaming video across the globe, and across the Americas," added Mark Adams, vice president of North America at Accedo. "Mexico is in an ideal position to serve both North and South America, with a good supply of local talent to lead that development."
Accedo figures show that the Latin America market closed 2014 with 64 million pay-TV subscribers and over-the-top (OTT) business growth of more than 200% year over year.
