Middle East pay-TV network OSN will air the 87th Academy Awards ceremony live from Los Angeles across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) on Sunday (23 February).
OSN plans to provide seven hours of live coverage from Hollywood's glitziest event, from film stars arriving on the red carpet to the Oscar awards in the Dolby Theatre (formerly known as the Kodak Theatre).
In the run up to the main event, OSN is screening previously nominated or winning Oscar films including Gravity and 12 Years a Slave.
"This year's Academy Awards show is guaranteed to be a night of high-wire tension after a year of blockbuster movies in 2014. Critics are likely to be left guessing until the very last moment on who will pick up the coveted best picture award, as epic movie successes like Boyhood, Birdman and American Sniper battle it out," said Khulud Abu Homos, executive vice president for programming and creative services, OSN.
"We at OSN are excited to be the region's first network to bring such a spectacular event to our viewers live and exclusive."
Foxcatcher, for which Steve Carell is nominated for 'Best actor in a leading role', will be screened on OSN Movies Box Office HD from 20 February. Other Oscar nominated movies currently available on OSN include Whiplash, The Judge and Gone Girl.
