Presto's recently launched film and TV subscription streaming service is now available for mobile users in Australia.

Selected iPhone and Android smartphones, in addition to Android tablets, are now able to receive video-on-demand (VOD) from the Foxtel-Seven West Media joint venture, for a monthly subscription starting at A$9.99.

The initial roll-out to smartphones includes iPhone 5C, 5S, 6 and 6 Plus as well some Android devices from Samsung, HTC, LG, Sony and ZTE.

"It's been just over a month since Presto TV landed on Android tablets and with today's announcement, we've massively increased the number of devices you can use to enjoy Presto," said Shaun James, director of Presto and On Demand.

"Presto subscribers can now enjoy our unbelievable movie and TV offering on their smartphones, allowing them to watch content when and where they want. Presto remains committed to ensuring users can access its online streaming service on as many devices as possible and we expect to make further announcements on even more devices soon."

In addition to TV content from the likes of HBO and CBS Studios, movies from the following studios are available on Presto: MGM, NBCUniversal, Paramount Pictures, Roadshow Films, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Twentieth Century Fox, The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros Entertainment, Entertainment One Films Australia, ICON, Studiocanal and Transmission Films.
