Precious Pearl to shine in South Korea

Precious Pearl, one of the stars of Globo's catalogue of soap operas, will be available in South Korea after being licensed to the EPG media group.
La Fiesta The PartyThe telenovela, which won an International Emmy Award and is set in the Himalayas, will be aired in the afternoons on a pay-TV channel exclusively dedicated to drama.
This isn't the first time EPG has acquired content from Globo, as it has previously aired productions including Brazil Avenue and India - A Love Story.
Precious Pearl has also performed well in Brazil, with a daily audience of 26 million viewers, according to Ibope. In Portugal, it aired on Globo's basic channel and ranked the fifth most watched cable TV show in the country.
Outside the Portuguese-speaking markets, Uruguay's Teledoce has been airing the love story between a working-class woman and a millionaire since the end of January. In its first week on air, the soap opera was the second most watched show in the country in its time slot.
In addition to Precious Pearl, EPG has also acquired to rights to the miniseries The Party, a production introduced to the international audience during NATPE 2015.
Aired in the 11pm time slot in Brazil, The Party was seen by 24 million people, while in Portugal it didn't perform so well, ranking 20th among the most-watched shows in the country.
