Turner's Toonami arrives in India

Turner Broadcasting has launched its superhero channel Toonami across digital cable TV networks in four of India's metros, through distributor Taj Television.

Toonami ImageJoining the broadcaster's existing channels Cartoon Network and POGO in India, Toonami features programmes such as Batman, Superman, Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Justice League, Inazuma Eleven Go and Dragon Ball Z.

The 24-hour English language anime and action channel is currently available via Siticable in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Madhya Pradesh; Indusind Media (Incable) in Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata; ICNCL in Kolkata; and Home Cable and JPR Cable Network in Mumbai.

Toonami now covers 14 countries in the Asia-Pacific region, including Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Sri Lanka.
