CTE tops up its Asian Bellator MMA rights deal with Electus

Celestial Tiger Entertainment (CTE) has renewed a multi-year licensing deal with Electus to air the Bellator MMA Fighting Championships on its KIX channel across Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.

Bellator MMA The pay-TV operator will show the mixed martial arts events during the action entertainment channel's MMA Mondays time block, starting at 10pm in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines and 9pm in the Jakarta/Bangkok time zone. The action will air within the same week of its debut in the US.

The Viacom-owned Bellator MMA is now broadcast in over 120 countries and reaches over 400 million homes on a weekly basis.

KIX will be airing the next Bellator MMA event, Bellator 134: The British Invasion, on 2 March at 10pm (HKG/SG/MAL/PHIL) or 9pm (JKT/BKK). The event will take place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in the US on 27 February.

In addition to Bellator MMA, KIX screens combat sport events from around the world including: World Series of Fighting (WSOF), coverage of the international kickboxing league Glory World Series (GWS), the UK's MMA event BAMMA; M-1, featuring battles between Europe's top MMA clubs; kickboxing's Enfusion Live; and Road FC, one of Asia's biggest MMA events.
