Sky News Arabia introduces Newsroom panel show

Pan-Arab satellite news channel Sky News Arabia is launching a two-hour roundtable TV show called Newsroom in early March.

Five anchors namely Muhannad Al Khatib, Fadila Souissi, Chantal Abi Khalil, Yousef Sharif and Jarir Dababneh will host the show, and be joined with various experts and decision-makers. The show promises to be "interactive and innovative in content and format", according to channel head Nart Bouran. In a statement, he said: "The topics and discussions will be supported by analyses and reports that take the viewer behind the scenes to explore the root causes of developments."

Muhannad Al Khatib, anchor, Sky News Arabia, added: "We are very excited to introduce the Newsroom concept that will definitely prove a regional turning-point in the world of broadcast news. Our team brings to the table rich insights and expertise in the field and will offer viewers a completely different perspective on breaking news, as well as detailed analyses. We are working to deliver an excellent platform that will fully cater to audience preferences and meet their changing expectations".

Newsroom will air on the free-to-air satellite channel at 11pm UAE time from Sunday until Thursday.
