Tough economic conditions in the markets it operates in resulted in Telekom Slovenije’s revenues falling from €779.360 million in 2013 to €756.454 million last year.

EBITDA fell from €239.868 million to €170.051 million over the same period, while net profit slumped from €51.057 million to €1.594 million.

Telekom Slovenije had a 53.3% share of the IPTV market as of the end of Q2 2014, a two percentage point reduction on a year earlier.

However, the number of IPTV connections increased by 4.2% to 134,265.

The telco is targeting a net operating profit of €66 million for this year, with EBITDA of €198 million and €107 million in investments.

Separately, Telekom Slovenije has signed an agreement to buy 100% of Debitel telekomunikacije for an undisclosed fee.

Debitel telekomunikacije, which is currently owned by ACH, Ljubljana, Adria Mobil and Svema Trade, was established in November 1998 and has 90,000 subscribers.

The deal will be concluded after obtaining approval from the competition authorities.
