Mexican Spanish-language TV producer Azteca is to add three of its pay-TV signals to VTR of Chile, namely AZ Mundo, AZ Corazón and AZ Clic!

The Mexican group is one of the largest producers of Spanish content in the region, generating over 10,000 hours of content per year, and operating two national television networks, one of the most watched Hispanic channels in the US, Azteca America; and the three themed pay-TV signals which are to land on VTR.

AZ Clic! is a music, travel, live-style channel which targets the younger audiences across Latin America, while AZ Corazón is focused in soap opera fans and AZ Mundo is a family network with a varied programming including La Isla or Soy Tu Doble.

Azteca's pay-TV division AZ TV De Paga will see the signals delivered to 70% of VTR's audience for the moment, increasing coverage up to 100% by the end of the year.

"It's an honour for us that a company like VTR adds our signals and distribute them to Chileans", said Marcel Vinay, CEO of Comarex, distributor of Azteca's signals.

"We're very happy of getting these three signals, which are to improve our HD schedule", added Francisco Guijón, programming and content manager at VTR. "Our customers will now enjoy family shows, news and entertainment with Azteca's label".
