Argentina's co-operatives pick Pontis IPTV solutions

Buenos Aires-based Pontis Technologies has found a solid client in Argentina's power co-operatives, which offer telecom services at a local level and are now to use Pontis IPTV solutions to offer interactive and multiscreen pay-TV services.

The solution provided by Pontis integrates hardware and applications for secure content distribution, including traditional pay-TV channels and interactive services such as social networks, games or widgets.

In addition, the IPTV service will be offer a multiscreen format, enabling users to watch TV on notebooks, tablets and smartphones, adding extra value to the product.

So far, Pontis' solution has been included in the pay-TV service of the co-operatives of San José in the Buenos Aires province, and Cooptel de Morteros and Colonia Caroya y Jesús María in the Córdoba province. All of these are part of COLSECOR, a larger co-operative consisting of small and medium sized enterprises and co-ops offering pay-TV and telecoms services across the country.
