RTVE.es rockets in online video

RTVE.es, the online video platform of Spain's public broadcaster, continues to grow, grazing 20 million unique users last month, the best ever figure for a February.

The service, which increased 27% through 2014 powered by multiscreen and smart TV accesses, reached 19.5 million users in February, 19% more than in the same month last year.

Botón Rojo, a hybrid TV platform including video-on-demand (VOD) and live streaming, also continues to thrive, surpassing the 600,000-user barrier on the Web and with 400,000 app users on smart TVs.

Among the broadcaster's app portfolio, it's app for children's channel Clan TV is the most used and downloaded platform for mobile devices, leading the pack among RTVE's almost three million app users.

Regarding content, the most followed online and multiscreen broadcast in February was the Goya awards show which was followed by 2.7 million online viewers, 87% more than in 2014. The Oscars, Masterchef Junior 2 and the series Cuéntame and Victor Ross were also among the most watched content.
