Piksel has launched Digital Enterprise 6.0, a full redesign of its cloud-based asset management system for video.
Digital Enterprise 6.0 is designed to streamline the process for organising and sharing on-demand and live video content. Notably, Piksel has completely revamped the product's media library, allowing users to do everything on one page.
"Working closely with Piksel's award-winning design team, our developers have spent six focused months transforming hundreds of complex, enterprise-grade features into the only video platform that can offer a one-page workflow for ingestion, transcoding, searching, syndication and embedding," said Sean Everett, product manager of Digital Enterprise at Piksel. "Digital Enterprise 6.0 is wonderfully simple on the surface but has great power, quality, and functionality at its core."
Digital Enterprise 6.0 is part of the Piksel Palette, Piksel's services oriented architecture (SOA) framework, which allows the agile delivery of SaaS-based video applications.
"By rebuilding Digital Enterprise 6.0 within the Piksel Palette framework, we can leverage the inherent flexibility of its architecture to provide a solution which is highly adaptable and easy to use," said Ralf Tillmann, chief strategy officer at Piksel. "By doing this, we are breaking down the barriers that currently exist for companies that wish to incorporate video into their business' roadmaps. With the launch of Digital Enterprise 6.0, companies can easily and affordably create and deliver successful media strategies, which is critical in an age where video is such a valuable and powerful tool."
