Anvato implements Facebook video API

TV Everywhere platform provider Anvato has implemented the latest Facebook video API to offer customers native video ingest and publishing capabilities from its core software platform.
With more than three billion video views daily and 65% of those views on mobile devices, Facebook is one of the world's top online video destinations. Consumer engagement through video on the social media platform is increasing dramatically, and social syndication on Facebook represents a key vehicle for broadcasters, service providers and media companies to interact with their target audiences.
"Our implementation of the new Facebook video API enables our broadcast and media customers to cut clips from their live TV broadcasts using our cloud editing tools and share them on Facebook with a single click in real-time," said Alper Turgut, CEO of Anvato. "Videos work in the native Facebook player with auto-play, providing a seamless experience for the viewer. In addition, Anvato customers can easily use calls to action to extend user interaction on their own sites, with links to sign up, shop now or use an app, for instance."
The latest enhancements to the Facebook video API allow for more control and customisation of videos on Facebook, helping organisations better reach their audiences. Publishing rules for social syndication on Facebook can be automated in the Anvato platform.
