Abu Dhabi Media (ADM) has acquired the pay-TV and free-to-air rights to the US Major League Soccer in the Middle East and North Africa for the next four years.

The rights deal, which covers both live television broadcast and online streaming, begins immediately and runs until the culmination of the MLS 2018 season.

ADM's Abu Dhabi Sports channels will show two MLS regular season games a week along with the MLS All-Star Game, the MLS Cup Playoffs and the MLS Cup.

"Our new partnership with Abu Dhabi Media Company is another affirmation of the growing interest in MLS around the globe, as both a league and media property," said Gary Stevenson, president and managing director, MLS Business Ventures.

"We are excited to be partnered with a market leader in sports media and look forward to providing fans in the Middle East and North Africa with access to the high quality programming MLS has to offer."

MLS' new global media rights agent, IMG, negotiated the broadcast rights deal with ADM.
