A joint bid by Ten Sports and Pakistan Television (PTV), reportedly valued at US$150 million, has secured the rights to broadcast international cricket matches played by Pakistan for the next five years.

"Ten Sports is a market leader in the sports segment in Pakistan. When it comes to cricket, we have a great partnership with PTV as they are our valued partners. Besides cricket, Moto GP and WWE too are very strong properties that are performing well in Pakistan," Rajesh Sethi, CEO, Ten Sports, told Indiantelevision.com.

Starting this month, the new contract with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will cover two home series with Pakistan's fierce rivals, India. However, India has not played a full bilateral Test series against Pakistan since 2007. The new broadcast rights deal is reported to depend on the home series being played in a neutral venue.

Ten Sports has held the rights to show PCB organised international matches for the past decade.
