YouTube's Eurovision channel scores 1BN views

The official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel has achieved over one billion views since launching in 2006, chalking up around 200 million video views each year.
Esc2015logoJon Ola Sand, executive supervisor of the contest speaking on behalf of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) which operates Eurovision, commented: "We are very proud to have hit this milestone just before the 60th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. We are very grateful for the hard work of the team behind it, the broadcasters, partners as well as the viewers all over the world for taking the contest to such heights."
The YouTube channel, Eurovision.tv, offers a variety of video content focusing on the contest which this year will take place Wiener Stadthalle, Vienna, Austria, following Conchita Wurst's victory in the 2014 edition with her song Rise Like a Phoenix. The final will be held on 23 May
