Globo partners with Bolivia's ATB

ATB, one of the largest private TV groups in Bolivia, has just signed a long-term contract with Globo through which the network will launch a prime time slot dedicated to the Brazilian broadcaster.
laguerreraBrave Woman, written by award-winning Glória Perez, will be the first show to premiere in the slot. In addition to telenovelas, the agreement also provides for the broadcasting of five feature films by Globo Filmes every year.
For Globo, the agreement with ATB reaffirms the importance of soap operas for the Latin American audience, a genre that remains strong and well-liked by the public. The Brazilian broadcaster has similar agreements with RCN (Colombia), Telefe (Argentina), Teledoce (Uruguay) and Canal 13 (Chile).
In Brazil, Brave Woman was aired during Globo's prime time slot and reached a good ratings average of 38 rating points and a 65% share. In South America, the telenovela also recorded high ratings on Teledoce (Uruguay), Canal 13 (Chile) and Telefe (Argentina).
