AsiaNet adds ErosNow on-demand streaming service

ErosNow, the online entertainment arm of Bollywood studio Eros International, has teamed up with Kerala ISP Asianet Broadband for an online movie streaming service.

Asianet customers will be able to subscribe to an extensive digital library of south Indian films and music videos, among other content, from the ErosNow platform, following the deal.

"We are delighted to partner with Asianet Broadband and bring the best in movies to its large subscriber base in Kerala. Asianet's large scale bandwidth and high speed will allow users to view unlimited entertainment from our wide catalogue," said Rishika Lulla Singh, CEO, Eros Digital.

Jiji John, vice president, Asianet Broadband, added: "Our superior technology to deliver high speed broadband connections have been possible through the implementation of DOCSIS and fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) technologies, which have the capacity to deliver up to 300Mbps broadband service to individuals. It will definitely boost the picture quality and ensure ultra high speeds to the Asianet Broadband subscribers which will enhance the video streaming experience."

A monthly charge to access unlimited content on the video-on-demand (VOD) service will be levied to Asianet customers following a month's trial free subscription.
