Hisense inks product placement deal with Mediaset's El Principe

Having just signed several distribution agreements for the series worldwide, Mediaset has announced a product placement strategy with Chinese screen and smartphone manufacturer Hisense for El Principe.
hisenseThe series, which was among the most watched content in Spain in 2014 with an average 26.8% share, is premiering its second season. During the next 16 episodes, Mediaset will place Hisense's screens, smartphones, tablets, fridges and washing machines, within the series' set.
Six months after the first season's final episodes, El Príncipe neared 4.8 million viewers during the second season's premiere, leading Mediaset's prime time on Telecinco.
The series was also one of the most successful of Mediaset's formats during MIPTV this year, with agreements to air El Príncipe on DirecTV and Claro video throughout Latin America and locally on Chile's Canal 13.
El Principe has also been acquired by Portugal's Canal RTP, Italy's Canale 5, Croatia's Nova TV and Germany's Filmpool, which is to produce its own version adapted for the German audience.
