Eurosport has acquired exclusive media rights to broadcast the UEFA Champions League in Singapore for three years beginning the 2015/2016 season.
The agreement with European football's governing body will enable pay-TV channel Eurosport to broadcast one live match on Tuesdays and one live match on Wednesdays during each week of the season. A highlights show will follow the live match, with additional matches available online.
Exclaiming it "doesn't get much better than this," Peter Hutton, Eurosport's CEO, warmly welcomed the announcement from UEFA.
"Champions League on Eurosport in Singapore is a game changer for our presence in Asia. We are excited to bring passionate local sports fans this premium offering and are committed to continued investment in high quality sports," said Hutton.
"Eurosport already boasts an improved line-up in Asia with both US Open tennis and the Tour de France. With the addition of mid-week live premier football in Singapore, we will ensure Eurosport becomes even stronger across the region."
