Boomerang TV's original series produced for Spain's Antena 3, The Time in Between, has been sold to key Asian territories and, over the next few months, will air in Japan, China and Taiwan.

It will be the first Spanish drama series to air on NHK, Japan's public broadcaster, which will broadcast it on its main channel, GTV. The Time in Between will premiere for Japanese audiences in June, scheduled to air Sundays at 11pm. A week prior to the debut, NHK plans to broadcast a promotional preview programme.

The series, one of the most-watched dramas in Spain hitting over 5.5 million viewers last year last year, will also air on Taiwan's public broadcaster, PBS, before the summer, making it the first Spanish fiction series to be broadcast in the country.

China's CCTV8 will premiere the series within the next few months. This is not the first time it has aired a Boomerang TV series, as both A Normal Family and The Rambling House have already been sold to the network.

The Time in Between has already gone a long way in the international market, being licensed for French distributor Lagardere for various French-speaking territories, Romania, Hungary, Italy or Portugal in Europe; or the US, Canada and Chile in the Americas, where it's also available in Netflix and ¡Hola! TV.
