Arianespace Flight VA222 will finally lift off on Sunday afternoon after a fortnight of stop-start delays.

The craft will launch the Norwegian Thor 7 and the Italian Sicral 2 satellites.

Arianespace said it had now completed the reconfiguration work and related checkout following the latest postponement that had delayed the launch from Friday.

Agreement with local staff was required for Sunday working on what is seen as a statutory rest day.

Launch is lated for Sunday, April 26 at 16:37 local time in Kourou, French Guiana (19:37 GMT).
