ThinkAnalytics racks up 20MN OTT subs

A surge of new customers in the latter part of 2014 has led to multiplatform TV search and recommendations engine ThinkAnalytics claiming 20 million over-the-top (OTT) subscribers worldwide.

This figure that has doubled in the last 12 months thanks mainly to deals with OTT providers including includes Fox, Viaplay and Sony Crackle. Success in this market credited to sophisticated personalisation algorithms and 'world-leading' metadata tapping into opportunities created as, asserted ThinkAnalytics. OTT providers realise the value of intelligent search and personalised recommendations across both linear and video-on-demand (VOD) content to differentiate their services in a competitive marketplace.
