Telehit, Televisa's music TV channel in English and Spanish, is to premiere Logout, a series originally created for second-screen viewers, across Latin American iOS and Android mobile screens.
telehitLogout will air on 5 May together with an app with streaming live content, exclusive videos and interactive events with the series' cast. The second-screen-ready content will also be available through the channel's website and the series' social network profiles.
Inspired on the Deep Web – the Internet beyond regular search engine indexes – Logout, starring Dario Ripoll, Laura Montijano, Alan Alarcón and Lili Gorett, among others, consists of 13 half-hour episodes.
"It's one of the most innovative projects of Televisa Networks, and we are sure it will catch the audience from the very first moment as it's the first series to use technology like that in Mexico," said Guillermo del Bosque, director at Telehit, a network particularly popular among millennials, with over 15 million social network followers.
"The fact of being able to watch the series on TV while getting a second perspective in real time on your device is going to change the way we write, produce and enjoy series," added Carlos Murguía, Logout's creator and producer.
