The Indian version of hit TV talent contest The Voice will launch on Zee's new Hindi general entertainment channel &TV in June.

&TV has enlisted Bollywood stars Himesh Reshammiya, Mika, Shaan and Sunidhi Chauhan as singing mentors for the reality show.

Produced and adapted by Endemol in India, the Talpa Media-owned TV format has now been produced in 60 locations and aired in more than 180 countries.

"We are excited to present viewers with The Voice, a show, which is already a global sensation as one of our biggest non-fiction offerings. The show takes a unique route in its selection process and focuses on quality of talent, which differentiates the format. For the first edition, we have a formidable panel of coaches that includes country's best musicians that will mentor new talent," said Rajesh Iyer, business head, &TV.

Maarten Meijs, managing director, Talpa Global added: "We are very pleased to be collaborating with &TV to bring The Voice to India. The format has proven to be such a global hit that we're fully confident viewers in India will also sit up and take notice."
