Globo continues expansion across Asia

Following recent agreements in South Korea and Mongolia, Globo has announced the licensing of four of its soap operas to Vietnam's Las Viet: Precious Pearl, Helen's Shadow, Brazil Avenue and The Life We Lead, which have achieved international success, will premiere in 2015.
preciouspearlThe pay-TV channel, which targets a female audience, will also dub all the Brazilian shows into Vietnamese.
Precious Pearl, which was previously licensed in Asia for South Korea's EPG and Mongolia's TV5, takes place in the 1930s and 40s in the Himalayas, and won an Emmy in 2014. In Brazil, the programme attained 21 rating points, a 46% share on Globo's Access Prime Time, and reached more than 26 million people per day, according to Ibope figures.
Helena's Shadow, which is also to premiere on Mongolia's TV5, topped Globo's portfolio at NATPE; The Life We Lead is one of Globo's leading productions licensed to over 100 countries including the US, the Netherlands and Israel; and the thriller Brazil Avenue has been a hit with audiences across Latin America and the US.
