German media company onMedia.TV wants to launch an interactive TV channel shortly aiming to take viewers between 14 and 34 years of age back to linear television.

German anti-media concentration commission KEK approved the venture dubbed YUN!Q at its latest meeting in Berlin.

The ad-supported free-to-air TV channel will be distributed as a live-stream on its website as well as by internet TV provider Zattoo and on IPTV platforms.

The TV channel will be accompanied by a news offering on its website providing daily news from areas such as stars, entertainment, lifestyle, sports, culture, knowledge, technology and apps and by social media activities on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
