Pitch Perfect 2 star Anna Camp has signed on to co-produce and star in the role of Courtney Temple for the film adaptation of Warren Adler's The Serpent's Bite.

Adler is best known for his iconic novel turned box-office hit The War of the Roses starring Kathleen Turner, Michael Douglas and Danny DeVito.

Grey Eagle Films said that the Serpent's Bite is a "story of deception, intrigue, lust, extreme danger and family dysfunction" as a father attempts to reunite with his older children during a nostalgic horse trek through the wilds of Yellowstone.

According to Grey Eagle Films CEO Jonathan Robert Adler: "Anna's Camp's work on television, film and live stage indicates to us that she is perfect to play the part of Courtney Temple in the adaptation of this novel."

This is just one of a number of Warren Adler novels in various stages of development by Grey Eagle Films. Other Grey Eagle projects include the War of the Roses: The Children, Target Churchill, Mourning Glory, Cult and Capitol Crimes.
