Live streaming of all the action from this month's South East Asia Games (SEA Games) 2015 is being offered for the first time in the biannual sporting event's history.

unnamed-3Fans will be able to stream more than 600 hours of the 39-sport competition, which runs from 5-16 June, as well as the opening and closing ceremonies in host nation Singapore. Online video will be available via YouTube and to digital devices via a mobile app, in addition to social media updates on Facebook and Twitter.

"We (are trying) to give an all-round experience to all the digital spectators - as we call them. So if you would like to play a game, there's Nila's Quest. If you would like a very engaging digital experience, there is the second-screen app," said Thomas Lim, head of the Information Operations Centre, Singapore SEA Games Organising Committee (SINGSOC).

Multicam technology is integrated in the service by Netco Sports in partnership with EVS, providing near-live highlight videos from multiple angles and utilising up to 16 cameras circling Jalan Besar Stadium, National Stadium, OCBC Arena, OCBC Aquatic Centre and Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The app will provide videos, a picture gallery, the Games' schedule, and medal tally along with breaking news from the event.
