The Switch turns on Net Insight for US national sports league

Media, IP and broadcast networks provider Net Insight has been chosen by video services firm The Switch new network expansion project in the US.
The Switch was created in 1991 to customer-controlled TV signal routing services to the broadcast industry. Its customers include domestic and international TV networks, common carriers, local broadcast stations, and producers and distributors of sports, entertainment, news, financial and public service television programming.
The new IPTV project will see Net Insight's Nimbra solution support video transport for a major national sports league across the country and help The Switch to provide its customers with services that it claims offer flexibility, reliability and efficiency. The order represents 10 SEK million of business and is set be rolled out in the second and third quarter of 2015.

"This latest expansion means The Switch is using our solution to transport media from more than 120 major sports venues across the US, which emphasises further our pedigree in sports broadcasting where high quality is extremely important."
