Scripps Networks Latin America has announced the promotion of two executives to vice president positions as part of Food Network's expansion plan through the region.
Adriana Alcântara has been appointed marketing and production VP and Claudia Clauhs will be programming VP, both based in Sao Paulo and directly reporting to Márcio Fonseca, managing director of Scripps Networks Latin America.
"Both Adriana and Claudia have developed essential roles in Food Network's launch in Brazil," said Fonseca. "Their expanded roles will help to launch our brand across Latin America".
In her new position, Alcântara, who has been working in the company since 2013, is responsible for every creative and production strategy for Food Networks, including new and local contents as well as marketing, communication and digital media strategies.
Before being hired by Scripps, Alcântara worked for Apple, helping to launch iTunes in Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula, as well as Oi TV, Globosat, Viacom Networks, Disney and NBC.
Claudia Clauhs will be developing and executing the channel's new programming strategy in her new role. She will supervise series, special programming and original content, as well as identifying new talents and implementing creative decisions.
Also arriving at Scripps in 2013, Clauhs has previously worked for FOX, designing content strategies for National Geographic and FOXLife.
